Some big news. So, after doing this for well over one year, I have finally got to the position where I can now leave my full-time employment role, and focus solely on this publication going forward. I expect to be free from a full-time job in May.
This is huge news for me, and you as readers.
Why is that good?
In doing this, I am now shaving 8 hours out of my working day, which was previously spent doing my day job as an analyst.
Those 8 additional hours can now be utilised to create content for Investment Talk.
I have wanted to do so many things here for a while, but have found that the day-job constraints pulled me back. There are only so many hours in the day.
I have always wanted to provide more recurring content pieces (free & paid), outside of the guest interviews and deep dives.
As such, I want to fashion a weekly recurring element to this newsletter, to allow readers to have something to chew on between the longer-form deep dive pieces I post on the first Friday of each month.
My Primary Idea Thus Far:
- A weekly market roundup, posted every Monday. This will aim to be a concise 3-5 minute read, and highlight the movements in the indices, asset types, market sentiment, as well as shining a light on some of the interesting news articles of the week.
I am also looking for a name for this segment, so if you want to potentially select the final title of this segment, please feel free to read below.
I Want To Hear From You:
I find that the best ideas often come from the people who actually read my work.
If you have any ideas for what you would like to see in this weekly recurring segment, or perhaps in other areas of the newsletter, please comment on this thread, reach out to me on Twitter (@investmenttalkk) or pop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have a potential name for this segment, please include that too.
Look forward to hearing from you, and best wishes.
Things are only just getting started.
